Giveaway: Free Copy of Book 4

With Book 4 of the Awakened series releasing in June (or sooner if I can manage it), I’d like to get the promotional ball rolling now.

I’m offering an autographed, edit copy of Book 4 (coil-bound, printed, with annotations) to whoever “Shares” my Facebook page and gets the most new “Likes” between now and the book’s release. I’m also making the same offer for recommendations on my Twitter profile.

There are some nifty ways of tracking referrals, but they involve adding code to websites and other things that I don’t have time for at the moment. So, if you’ll just let me know (through a post or a message) at the end of the contest which friends you referred, I’ll tally the results.

If you don’t know how to recommend someone on Twitter, here is a good video tutorial. If you don’t know how to “Share” a page on Facebook, here are some instructions.

Good luck and thanks for your help!

OK. I'm trying to win your book, but if I don't, I'm glad to be able to help you. I just finished your first book. It was intriguing, so I bought book 3 and 4 for my Kindle as well. I enjoyed your writing!

Hi Jason. I just wanted to say . I'm a big fan of David Eddings and after reading "The Belgariad" and "The Mallorean" and the shannara series by terry brooks I had a hard time getting into other stories because of how good those books were. I got your first book in the awakened series for free and was sucked in instantly. I am now at the end of the third book. Thank you for This series. Its unique and I love the story of Kael! Being taken away to train to be a warrior at a secret place in the hills has been a life long dream for me. Lol. I cant wait for the fourth book and I also wanted to ask you if you had any authors who inspired you to write ? Or any books you would recommend? Thanks again.

Hi Matt,

Thanks so much for the high compliment!

Growing up, I read Dennis McKiernan, Frank Peretti, Tad Williams, Stephen Lawhead, C. S. Lewis, Tolkien, and others. In my teens, I picked up my dad's Tom Clancy novels and thought they were the coolest! I've only recently (last six years or so) started reading science-fiction (Orson Scott Card, Isaac Asimov, etc.). I'm currently working my way through a fascinating and original series (Jump 225 series by David Louis Edleman). It is sci-fi, set in a distant but realistic future where software companies compete for market share to produce products that control the nano-hardware governing every aspect of human civilization. Awesome stuff!

So glad you enjoyed the Awakened books. The next one should be out in June of this year (sooner if I can accomplish it). If you can't wait, you might consider reading Incarnation, which is the first of the prequel series.
